SDI aims to foster a community of development practitioners contributing to Sarawak’s development through a membership that provides access to networking opportunities, professional development, and collaborative initiatives. With this pool of development practitioners and experts, we wish to build a body of knowledge on development issues facing Sarawak and provide a platform for intellectual discourse on development issues, nationally and globally.

Members’ contributions will be tracked and recorded to ensure transparency and recognition as follows:
Contribution Metrics
- Research contributions: participation in studies – advisory role, consultant, data collection, report writing, etc.
- Event participation: attendance only/and active participation (as speaker/moderator/ chairman/posing questions at talks, workshops, seminars, and conferences)
- Paper/article contributions: for publications, newsletter and column
- Advisory roles: membership in committees, working groups, projects or events
- Outreach efforts: support for advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement
- Certificate of Contribution Members will receive certificates acknowledging their involvement in significant initiatives.
